Crazy-Cups Sport-Stacking Events for Year 2007
[2007 Dec] Kids Games Arise
An event organized by Salvation Army for a group of churches, Kids Games Arise is a 3-day holiday camp for primary school going students.  Among other many exciting activities, Crazy-Cups were there to teach over 400 kids cup stacking, and also held a mini competition on the third day.  Both the kids and parents had so much fun!
 
[2007 Nov] CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity

To expose the students to various types of activities, CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity engaged Crazy-Cups to conduct several sport stacking sessions for their lower primary students after the exams.  It turned out the be an activity the young ladies enjoyed thoroughly!

[2007 Nov] Greenridge Primary

Having exposed the students to Sport Stacking earlier in the year, Greenridge Primary took a step further to engage Crazy-Cups to conduct formal PE lessons to their P4 students over several weeks.  At the end of the sessions, the students learned the basics up to the Cycle Stack and were racing against one another like pros!

Through Greenridge Primary, Crazy-Cups also donated 100 sets of Crazy-Cups to Toy Drive, a collaboration with Food From the Heart, aiming to collect and donate the toys to the less privileged children in Singapore.

[2007 Oct] Nan Chiau High

Impressed by the many benefits Sport Stacking offers, Nan Chiau High invited Crazy-Cups to conduct mass stacking sessions for their lower secondary students.  With each session having about 340 students, these were definitely the largest gatherings of stackers learning sport stacking together in Singapore!  The students thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, with 51.2% of them rated the Crazy-Cups sessions as Excellent and another 42.8% rated us as Good in the feedback survey!

[2007 Oct] Presbyterian High

To keep the students occupied after their year-end exams, Presbyterian High engaged several service providers to conduct sporting lessons to their lower to mid level students over a few days.  Crazy-Cups were there to introduce the unique Sport Stacking activity to the initially-skeptical students.  Reluctant learners at first, it didn't take long for the students to realize the fun, excitement and challenge facing them!

[2007 Oct] Park View Primary

(First School in Singapore to Introduce a Complete Sport Stacking Program into their PE Lessons)

Reputed for their achievements in Sports, Park View Primary did not hesitate to include Sport Stacking into their PE curriculum when they learned about our Crazy-Cups programs and the long list of benefits the sport offers.  It became the first school in Singapore to introduce a formal and complete Sport Stacking Program into their PE curriculum when they engaged Crazy-Cups to teach Sport Stacking to their P4 students over a 3 month period.  And the enlightened students got the chance to put their new found skills and confidence to good use when they contested among themselves in a fun filled Crazy-Cups Challenge on Oct 9!

[2007 Sep] Telstra International Customer Golf Day

In appreciation of their support, Telstra International held its annual Golf Day for its customers at Tenah Merah Country Club.  After a day on the golf course, Telstra staff and customers used their hand-eye coordination on another different sport: Sport Stacking!  Needless to say, sport stacking provided good entertainment to the golfers before their sumptuous dinner.

[2007 Sep] Jurong West Primary Interviews Crazy-Cups

Jurong West Primary, which has won major video production competitions in the past, is participating in Panasonic's Kid Witness News (KWN) global competition.  Once the team found out about sport stacking and Crazy-Cups, they decided to center their production around introducing the development of sport stacking in Singapore.  Hence, they interviewed us to learn how we introduced the sport into Singapore, and will go on to interview more stacking enthusiasts in the country.  The photos show the production team have a go at the sport after the interview.

[2007 Aug] Marsiling Secondary Stacks!

Over 4 afternoons stretched over 2 weeks, the student counselors and sports leaders at Marsiling Secondary learned all they needed to know about sport stacking from the basics to organizing a sport stacking Challenge.  During the last session, these group of fun and enthusiastic student leaders participated in an exciting and wild Challenge, pitting the sec 1s against sec2+3s.  Challenging in singles, doubles and team relay events, the elder students had to come from behind to defeat their juniors in a very tensed yet fun and noisy classroom!

 

 
[2007 Aug] Junyuan Secondary Stacks!

A group of secondary 1 students at Junyuan Secondary signed up to attend our Crazy-Cups program, despite not knowing what sport stacking is prior to the lesson.  Over an afternoon, they picked up all the tips and learned to stack from the basics to doing the Cycle.

 

 
[2007 Aug] Sembawang Primary Stacks!

Over 2 half mornings, 80+ Sembawang Primary 2 students got their tiny hands onto some Crazy-Cups to learn how to stack the 3s, 6s, 12s and Cycle stacks.  Struggling initially with the holding of the cups and sequencing of the stacks, the enthusiastic students soon got the hang of it and were stacking with confidence and thoroughly enjoyed the fun and excitement!

 

 
[2007 Aug] Crazy-Cups Participate in Merck's Kidabion Launch

World leading pharmaceutical and chemical company Merck launched its newest Kidabion Omega-3 Fish Oil chewy fruit burst capsules for children. In conjunction with celebrating National Day, Merck held a 'Kidabion's 4 million & 1 Smiles' event at Bukit Panjang Plaza on Aug 4 & 5. There were numerous fun filled events, including sport stacking with Crazy-Cups! We demonstrated and taught kids and adults alike how to stack the various formations, as well as organized mini stacking competitions on both days.

 

 
[2007 Jul] Junyuan Primary THAF Family Day

Junyuan Primary stands firmly on promoting a healthy and wholesome lifestyle to all pupils and staff.  In conjunction with their Total Health And Fitness (THAF) program, the school organised the THAF Family Day to allow its students, staff and parents to spend a meaningful Saturday morning engaging in healthy sporting activities.  Crazy-Cups was there to expose the students to the fun and excitment of sport stacking:

 

 
[2007 Jul] East Spring Secondary Stacks

About 80 East Spring Secondary 1 students got the chance to try sport stacking with Crazy-Cups.  In an effort to promote sporting awareness among the students, Head of PE Mr Lance Teo arranged to have the students tryout sport stacking.  Despite a short 1.5 hours, these fast learning students managed to learn the basic 3, 6 and 1-10-1 stacks.

 

 
[2007 Jul] River Valley High Does Stacking

Some 70 River Valley High Secondary 1 and 2 students opted to try out sport stacking during their Explorers and Connectors Week.  Preferring sport stacking over other activities like archery, inline skating and dancing, these students are also the first Singapore students to participate in our Grading Program.  They clocked impressive timings despite only a couple hours of stacking practice.  Among them were 5 visiting students from Beijing's Beida Fuzhong.

[2007 Jun] More Stacking Actions from Florida!

More Florida schools got their hands on Crazy-Cups to do some speeding of a different form.  These schools are also the first few schools involved in Crazy-Cups' innovative Grading Program.  Visit our Grading Program to find out how some of these kids performed!

[2007 Jun] Newberry Elementary gets Stacking!

Now its the students at Newberry Elementary, FL who got their hands on Crazy-Cups during their EDEP summer camp.  Instructor Larry introduced the relatively new sport to the enthusiastic students who enjoyed the stacking very much.  Now they have another reason to enjoy their famous Newberry watermelons after all the ferocious stacking!

 

 
[2007 Jun] Littlewood Elementary in Gainesville, FL Stacks with Crazy-Cups

Despite having great summer sunshine outdoor, some students at Littlewood Elementary in Gainesville, FL stayed indoor to stack some plastic cups instead.  Thanks to Crazy-Cups Instructor Larry, these students got to enjoy much fun during their Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP), learning sport stacking with Crazy-Cups.  Stay tuned for more reports from Larry!

 

 

 
[2007 May] Temasek Junior College Experiences Crazy-Cups

Having buried themselves in books preparing for the mid-year exams, Temasek Junior College students get to stretch their arms and limbs for a change on the last day of school term before going on their well-deserved month long holidays.

With options such as bowling, tai-chi, archery, ball games etc, some 200 students chose to explore the relatively unknown Crazy-Cups instead. Displaying a more controlled emotion compared to the easily excitable primary school stackers, these JC students learnt the Cycle Stack with ease. At the end of the session, the laughter and excitement that is ever-present at a Sport-Stacking event finally exploded when they cheered their friends in a mini-competition.

 

 

 

 
[2007 May] Northland P4 Students Learn to Stack

All 10 P4 classes at Northland Primary got their hands on Crazy-Cups during their Health & Fitness Funnanza on May 23/24.  The P4 students learned to stack and participated in a mini competition to experience the true excitement of speeding in a different form!

 

 

 
[2007 May] Tampines GIFT Carnival 2007

Crazy-Cups were invited to participate in Tampines West CSC's community project: Games Involving Fitness and Teamwork (GIFT) on May 19.  This half day healthy-lifestyle event saw a huge turnout by students from all schools within the CSC. The event was graced by Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education, Adviser to Tampines West Grassroots Organisation, who was impressed by the long list of benefits the simple sport of cup stacking provides.

 

 

 
[2007 May] Greendale Secondary Mini-SEP Showcase

Greendale secondary 1 and 2 students were introduced to a handful of selected SEP programs on May 16.  Crazy-Cups were there to expose the students to the new and exciting sport of sport stacking.

 

 

 
[2007 Apr] Gan Eng Seng Primary Sport Stacking Tryout

Some 160 P4 and P5 Gan Eng Seng Primary students got a taste of Sport Stacking in an after-school mass activity.  Despite learning only the 3 and 6 stacks, the enthusiastic students thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

 

 

 
[2007 Apr] Greenridge Primary Tries Sport Stacking on Sports Day

On a day the Greenridge Primary students got to enjoy running around school participating in all sorts of sports they are familiar with, many crowded around the Crazy-Cups stand with much curiosity trying to figure out what the many colorful cups were for.  For the first time, Greenridge was exposed to the new sport of Sport Stacking and many students were exercising their creativity trying to stack various cup formations of their own.
